Here’s the challenge: You can write your own title for this shot. It can be funny, punny, quirky, poignant, reflective, historical, hysterical – anything you like.
All you have to do to enter is submit your title as a comment here.
Yes, you can enter as many times as you want, on as many days as you want. You can keep coming back, looking at other people’s titles and keep adding your own. The contest will close at midday (Melbourne time) on Monday.
There’s only one rule: no profanity. Have fun …. I’m throwing the gauntlet down NOW!
If it looks as if this yellow “Jelly Belly” plane is about to land on the roof of a moving pickup truck – you’re absolutely right! This is exactly what US pilot Kent Pietsch is trying to do. I shot this in very cloudy, murky conditions last night, at the Australian International Air Show. This was shot on his first of three attempts. I actually have an image of the aircraft successfully atop the roof of the truck – but this gives you an idea of just how difficult the task was. And just for the record, he then took off again, from the roof of the truck!
I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 70-300mm lens. F8, 1/500 sec, ISO 200, focal length 300mm.
