I shot this on a mid-winter morning here in Melbourne, in June 2009, as I drove interstate. There was a touch of early-morning fog, as you can see by the angled plume of silver-gold hugging the hillside in the bottom of the frame..
This was shot on the Hume Highway, in the general vicinity of townships devastated by the fatal Black Saturday bushfires just four months earlier.
I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F19, 1/1000 sec, ISO 200, focal length 108mm.
