White Christmas, Or Red? (Depends On The Colour Of Your Wine!) by

These vine rows were a great sight under a grey sky at the De Bortoli vineyard in the Yarra Valley, a verdant part of my home state, Victoria. (2,724 views and 31 favourites on 17 July 2014.)

During our tour of the picturesque valley yesterday (20 December 2010) I just happened to meet Di Jenkins, a fellow Red Bubbler whom I added to my watchlist several months ago. Small world, isn’t it?

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8, 1/80 sec, ISO 200, focal length 108mm.

It’s law here that you drink white while cooking then at night red, it’s wide open after that. Well done.

  • That law makes perfect sense to me, Michael! I shall adhere to it over the festive season!

    fantastic capture!

  • Thank you, Dinni – the perspective worked because I was shooting from the crest of a hill, hence the arcs, rather than straight lines!
