Not, it’s not the white house, but it IS the most famous white building in Singapore – the Raffles Hotel, named after Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of the island-state.
From memory, that huge red bow would have definitely been almost four meters long – and I’d love to know how much it weighed.
What was really interesting to me, when I shot this image in December 2007, was the juxtaposition of traditional Christmas decorations and of course the tropical frangipani tree in the foreground!
I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8, 1/350 sec, ISO 200, focal length 88mm.
