Perspective is everything on a sunny spring afternoon. It might look like all three buildings at Southbank, Melbourne, are roughly the same height – but Eureka Tower in the centre of this frame is the tallest occupied skyscraper in the southern hemisphere.

By the way, can you see the building on the left reflected in the glass facade of the building on the right?

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. F11, 1/250 sec, ISO 200, focal length 18mm.

    Excellent POV.

  • Thank you, Lucinda – this shot just wouldn’t have worked with a cloudy sky above me.

I’d probably fall over trying to do that and make myself the object of others’ shots! lol Great one!

  • Trick No. 1 – if you;re going to take a vertigo-inducing shot, make sure you are standing near a metal pole, just in case you lose your balance!
