Here’s the challenge: You can write your own title for this shot. It can be funny, punny, quirky, poignant, reflective, historical, hysterical – anything you like.
All you have to do to enter is submit your title as a comment here.
Yes, you can enter as many times as you want, on as many days as you want. You can keep coming back, looking at other people’s titles and keep adding your own. The contest will be open for just over 48 hours and will close at midday (Melbourne time) on Friday 20 August, which is 3am Friday in London and 10pm Thursday in New York.
A special guest judge will choose the winning entry. There’s only one rule: no profanity. Have fun …. I’m throwing the gauntlet down NOW!
This was shot outside a store in Perth, Western Australia, in January 2009.
Today’s guest judge (please do visit her RB portfolio) is Trish Woodford from Perth, Western Australia.
In fifth place: Diana Lee Saville with `Sign of the times’.
In fourth place: Ranald with `The McMahon theory of life’.
In third place: Mart Devalle with `World’s best dangerous genius drinking beer zone ahead’.
In second place: Mando13 with (hold your breath and try to say this without stopping!) `This is a 12-step program for people who are Lost.
Step 1. We admitted we were Lost + that our lives were unmanageable
Step 2. We came to believe that the signs could put us back on course
Step 3. We decided to take others advise + follow the signs as we understood them.’
And the winner is: Ellis Morley Photography with `Warning! Yellow signs ahead!’
