CONTEST: Write Your Own Title For This Quirky Image by

Here’s the challenge: You can write your own title for this shot. It can be funny, punny, quirky, poignant, reflective, historical, hysterical – anything you like.

All you have to do to enter is submit your title as a comment here.

Yes, you can enter as many times as you want, on as many days as you want. You can keep coming back, looking at other people’s titles and keep adding your own. The contest will be open for just over 48 hours and will close at midday (Melbourne time) on Friday 17 September, which is 3am Friday in London and 10pm Thursday in New York.

A special guest judge will choose the winning entry. There’s only one rule: no profanity. Have fun …. I’m throwing the gauntlet down NOW!

This shot was taken in Quebec City, Canada, in 2005.

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Canon EOS 3000, using Kodak film.

AND THE WINNERS ARE:

In fifth place we have Kim its all OK with “What a bad day to have had cabbage”.

In fourth place we have Georgie Hart with “After the lukewarm reception of his latest movie Knight and Day, Tom Cruise finds it tough to get another gig…”

In third place we have pix-elation with “Personally I prefer WD40.”

In second place we have Virginia Jones with "“I swear, if I gain another pound, somebody’s going to have to use a can opener to get me out this outfit!”

In first place we have Ranald with “Florence Knightingale rides again,”
