Here’s the challenge: You can write your own title for this shot. It can be funny, punny, quirky, poignant, reflective, historical, hysterical – anything you like. Check below to see the winners.
All you have to do to enter is submit your title as a comment here.
Yes, you can enter as many times as you want, on as many days as you want. You can keep coming back, looking at other people’s titles and keep adding your own. The contest will be open for just over 48 hours and will close at midday (Melbourne time) on Friday 6 August, which is 3am Friday in London and 10pm Thursday in New York.
A special guest judge will choose the winning entry. There’s only one rule: no profanity. Have fun …. I’m throwing the gauntlet down NOW!
This shot was taken through a sea of heads and shoulders of spectators watching the March 2010 Moomba parade.
AND HERE ARE THE RESULTS, as judged by Terry Brown, senior writer and columnist of the Herald Sun newspaper:
In third place, we have Helen Corr with “He was always so quiet”.
In second place, we have Jen Wahl with “The Wright Brothers’ under-achieving other brother”.
And the winner is Ranald with “Elton John gets annoyed that Madonna’s secret love child has a better hat”.
Thank you, everyone, for taking part. There will be another one next week ….
