Is it Clark Kent changing in a phone box?
Not quite. But can you tell me what’s incongruous about this shot?
While you’re thinking about it, let me tell you how this happened. We were in a Manhattan ice cream parlour when I suddenly noticed someone standing at a public phone booth for the first time since we arrived in New York.
I put my ice cream down, picked up my camera and hit the button immediately, shooting this through the window of the ice cream parlour.
Then, to my surprise, the man in this photograph picked up his briefcase (did you spot it on the right of the frame?) and walked away – while continuing his phone conversation.
So if you answered that the man is talking on his cell phone (instead of the public phone) you are … ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. You have great powers of observation!I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8m 1/90 sec, ISO 400, focal length 125mm.
