Well, might I add that I love the depth of field and texture. It’s a cool shot, David.
    Nor, a speaker cover, I suppose? :)

  • Funny thing is, Jen, I actually hesitated and pondered the image deeply before I submitted it to the Depth of Field group! Not a speaker cover, no …..

:) thanks for adding it to the group. We love your images :) ummm… ok, I’ve been up since 3… so… I’m stumped already. :) I’ll have to give it some more thought…

  • Thanks so much on all counts, Jen. Up since 3 ….. I reckon you deserve some shut-eye immediately.

Is it a piece of Licquorice?
(But looking at the thumbnail, i instantly thought of the round water feature @ Darling Harbour in Sydney.)

  • G’day Kylie, it’s not liquorice – and YES, this was shot because it reminded me precisely of the water feature at Darling Harbour!

I’m not quite sure what this is but it is a fabulous capture. great compostition.

  • Great to know you like the composition, Jaclyn. It was shot in very poor light, hence the ISO 800, but I really liked what I “saw” ….

I don’t suppose you are watching the ‘weather channel’ and it’s a “perfect storm”?? lol

  • You have such a great creative instinct, Jen – I really admire that. No, it’s not a storm ….

CA-W asked is it a fingerprint?

  • Tell CA-W I like her “forensic” way of thinking. No, not a fingerprint. But yes, those are “whorls”….

lol I’m following ya David. Poor light? Maybe that helps give it the “umph” with your light and shadows.

  • Yes it certainly does help, and I really enjoy outdoor photography (sane tripod) in poor or night light.
