Is It A Pigment Of My Imagination? by

No, the colours are real.

This is the roof of a mini-pagoda in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Apart from the different shapes (circles, squares, rectangles, arcs and curves) the many different textures also drew me into this shot.

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F6.7. 1/30 sec, ISO 800, focal length 45mm.

Love the cropping and colours. Well done!

  • Thanks very much, I actually took two shots. The first one was a tighter frame, then I shot this to include the unpainted timber box on the right!

I love the patterns on the roof. Many of the traditional houses here still have roofs like that. Timeless. Stunning shot and like most Asian buildings they have very vivid color

  • Thanks very much for that insightful comment, Kimba. You’re right about the colours of Asia. Singapore is another place that always intrigues me.
