Can’t see the jumbos? Really? Oh, sorry – I should have clarified that statement. It’s not a Boeing 747, it’s an elephant. Or rather, two elephants.

Now can you see them? One’s at the bottom of the screen, and the other one is barely discernible at the top.

This hanging ornament was displayed in an Indian shop in Singapore.

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F5.6, 1/45 sec, ISO 800, focal length 88mm.

    beautiful ornament

  • Thank you JustArt. All those amazing tones in the background were actually a help, not a hindrance! These ornaments are very common in India.

  • Thanks, Evelina – I’ve seen them with just birds before, but never a combination of birds and elephants.

Dave, I was named after my great grandfather who was operating the train that killed Jumbo the circus elephant. Not sure if that is a good omen or not but you sparked my memories of this fact.

  • That’s a great piece of history there. Interesting timing, too, because my latest novel is about a train driver. What a coincidence!
