Solve This Puzzle: What Is This Mystery Object? by

Put on your thinking caps, but most of all have fun. Your time starts … NOW!

Spoiler alert: do not read any further, unless you want to see the answer revealed.

Solved in 25 minutes by Jen Wahl, who correctly identified it as the roof-mounted flashing lights (shot in daylight, in non-flash mode) of a police car.

Second part of the puzzle: if you can try and solve this without using Google, it’ll be a lot of fun. Remember the “Noddy” stories by Enid Blyton? What were the names of the two goblins who were the arch enemies of Mister Plod the policeman? Solved by Linda Bianic, who correctly identified them as Sly and Gobbo.

Third part of the puzzle: In the movie “Beverly Hills Cop”, what unusual tactic did Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) use in order to disable the car being driven by Rosewood and Taggart? Solved by Arrowman, who correctly answered that he pushed bananas into the tailpipe of their car!

Fourth part of the puzzle: See if you can solve this without Google! Yes, Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) was the star of the film “Beverly Hills Cop” and its sequels, but which city was Axel Foley REALLY from? Solved (again) by Jen Wahl, who correctly answered Detroit, nano-seconds before several others gave the same correct answer! It was almost an Olympic photo-finish!

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 70-300mm lens. F6.7, 1/125 sec, ISO 400, focal length 210mm.

    Are they leds though ?

  • They are definitely light-related. I don’t know enough about the design elements to say definitively if they are LEDs or not.
