Solve This Puzzle: What Is This Mystery Object? by

What is this object? And where was I when I took the shot? Put on your thinking caps, have as many guesses as you want – and most of all, have fun. Your time starts …. NOW!

Question 1: solved by US Red Bubbler Betty Mackey, who correctly identified them as the sails/ shades of a roof.

Question 2: solved by English Red Bubbler Ellis Morley, who correctly identified it as The Rocks Market in Sydney.

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8, 1/90 sec, ISO 400, focal length 125mm.

    Shades, sails, awnings?

  • Absolutely right on the first question, Betty! Now see if you can crack the second part of the question while I update this with a link to you!

Or possibly in a mall (food court area) judging by the back wall

Huh, to think I was about to sleep.

  • Not a mall. (Sorry, I was unavoidably late today)

If you had been earlier I would have missed it! Been playing around with Picnik and now just been uploading the work ID photos to my email account ready to “dump” at work.

    Hmm… really? OK… sneaky…. café? LOL.

  • I thought you might have been tinkering with your new toy – and I was right. Do I get a point for that? Not a cafe, no. But look carefully at the roof line – see the lights?

    Is it a coolaroo?

  • Could well be a brand name …. there’s also a Melbourne suburb called Coolaroo. But the brand name won’t give you any clues, really.

No cos that would not explain the spotlights.

This really looks like it’s inside but pretending to be outside… or the building behind just curves in a strange way.

I do! I do see the lights! :-( GARGH!

  • Confucius say: seeing the light is only one step away from, er, um, enlightenment!
