Solved by Whalegeek a split-second ahead of Sean and Ranald in a rush across the finish line. But here’s the second part of the question: In what specific way is this image connected with a television show?
Solved by Sean Jansen who correctly said it was “That ’70s Show”, in which Wilmer Valderrama played a character called Fez. But here’s the next question: for what specific reason was his on-screen character called “Fez”?
Solved (again) by Sean Jansen who correctly said the word was a corruption of the term “foreign exchange student”.
Here’s the next follow-up question: in what way is this image connected to a world-famous harvest festival? (Hint: think laterally, as everyone is familiar with the answer!)
Solved by proud Scot Ranald who correctly used the thought sequence “Fez-Turkey-Thanksgiving” to solve this part of the question! Yes, the famous harvest festival is Thanksgiving!

Looks like a fez to me. When I was growing up I remember seeing Shriners always wearing them while riding motorcycles or kiddie cars in local parades, a funny sight indeed.
