This is a multi-part question, so put your thinking caps on. As soon as the object is correctly identified, I’ll give you the follow-up questions.
Solved by Whalegeek a split-second ahead of Sean and Ranald in a rush across the finish line. But here’s the second part of the question: In what specific way is this image connected with a television show?
Solved by Sean Jansen who correctly said it was “That ’70s Show”, in which Wilmer Valderrama played a character called Fez. But here’s the next question: for what specific reason was his on-screen character called “Fez”?
Solved (again) by Sean Jansen who correctly said the word was a corruption of the term “foreign exchange student”.
Here’s the next follow-up question: in what way is this image connected to a world-famous harvest festival? (Hint: think laterally, as everyone is familiar with the answer!)
Solved by proud Scot Ranald who correctly used the thought sequence “Fez-Turkey-Thanksgiving” to solve this part of the question! Yes, the famous harvest festival is Thanksgiving!

I think this is a hat and tassel, but not sure what they are called off hand.
Yes and yes, Sean. It’ll come to you in a second.

Looks like a fez to me. When I was growing up I remember seeing Shriners always wearing them while riding motorcycles or kiddie cars in local parades, a funny sight indeed.
BINGO! Well done, Whalegeek. What a great memory – would have been a very colourful sight, if not the safest way to ride a bike.

Thats the word I was trying to think of….Fez : )
I knew it would come to you in less than 60 seconds! Now try and solve the second part of the question … coming up in a coupla minutes.
– David McMahon
Yep, a Fez. “Jus’ like that”.
Spot on, Ranald – I haven’t forgotten how you solved “shrew” some weeks ago but generously held back so someone else could work it out. Now try the second part of this question, comin’ right up!

Tommy Cooper that’s it… always had it on his show…. I think Ranald got that anyway just by saying “Just like that” :-P
Ah, I see – Ranald is streets ahead of me. But the TV show reference is a specific one I seek … the answer is just around the corner!

Name of a charachter on "that 70’s show.
BINGO – it was the character played by Wilmer Valderrama on the series “That ’70s Show.” Well done, Sean! Now watch for the next follow-up question…..
– David McMahon
Oh ok… if there is another person or show that the fez is famous for, it’s not one I heard of “bows out”. By the way, I thought I could delete previous comments… I did not mean to spam your comments list :-P
No need to delete ‘em, seriously. That’s not spam. That’s honest creative process. One more follow-up question coming ….
– David McMahon
