Solve This Puzzle: What Is This Mystery Object? by

Put your thinking caps on! You can have as many guesses as you want …

SPOILER ALERT: Do not read any further if you’re trying to solve the answer …

Solved in just over half an hour by Coffeebean, who correctly identified it as a hammock support.

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8, 1/250 sec, ISO 400, focal length 125mm.

    Duh it’s a rope! :)
    I’ll pass on the trophy.

  • The trophy is not quite yours yet, Evelina. Yes, it’s a rope, but what is the object? Come on, you’ve won one of these before – you can work it out in an instant …..

    christ on a cross ,fantastic,

  • To tell the truth, Scott, I honestly hadn’t thought of that. I’d like to take the credit for that interpretation, but you’ve given it an added dimension and I thank you for it.

How cool to get it right!! Thank you so much for the link David, what a great idea, the perfect reward :))

  • I’m always amazed at how quickly these are solved. I had a REALLY difficult one about a week ago, and it was nailed very quickly as the roof of Hamer Hall here in Melbourne. Glad you like the idea of the link.

    Excellent shot!

  • Thanks very much, Walela. It was a VERY sunny day, but this was shot under the shade of a gum tree, so the light actually worked in my favour!
