Ringo, Paul, Is This The Yellow Submarine? by 


It might look like a piece from a jigsaw, but this is simply the driver’s cabin of a monorail train in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This was shot at Bukit Nanas station, on a hot, humid evening in July 2008. The trains are a variety of colours and when this yellow one pulled into the busy station, I had to grab my camera to shoot it from an unusual angle.

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my work in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F6.7, 1/45 sec, ISO 800, focal length 68mm.

    Apart from the yellow “artefact” nosing into attention, I love how this abstract photograph seems to highlight a wide variety of geometrical shapes happily composing together!

    Ah yeah I remember that place back in the 60s and 70s ,,,oops no that was JM Fields. I think they went the way of Woolworths, Grants, and Montgomery Wards, oh and Circuit City as of late. I’m sure Strawberry Fields is still around,,,for-ev-ver!
