See What Happens When You Don't Brush Your Teeth? by

I was shooting some images of the Town And Country Hotel in Whitehorse, in Canada’s Yukon, when I decided to stop halfway across a pedestrian crossing in order to shoot this tight frame of the painted woodwork on the facade. 2,203 views on 9 November 2013.

Yes, there were a couple of drivers looking askance at me as I did so!

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K200 D fitted with a Sigma 70-300mm lens. F8, 1/250 sec, ISO 400, focal length 300mm.

    haha great shot, great colours
eating to much candy I think ;)

  • Looked like a candy castle … but it’s one of those shots that seems to suggest itself. When you look at the whole facade, this is probably 1 per cent of it!

Reminds me of the Mother-in-Law !!, great crisp shot mate.

  • I’d better make sure your wife doesn’t see this comment, Munggo! Or worse, I’d better make sure your mother-in-law doesn’t see it!

    Looks really great!

  • Thanks, Betty. Lucky the light was good enough (it was a VERY bright afternoon) to pick up the details on the timber.

    Great one David!
    And Munggo’s comment… I can’t stop laughing!

  • Thanks so much, Indrani. Yes, I just hope Munggo’s mother-in-law isn’t a frequent visitor to Red Bubble!

    HAHAHAHA LUV IT !!

  • I knew you would, Mando. There were a couple of people who looked VERY perplexed as I stood (legally) in the middle of a pedestrian crossing to shoot this so I didn’t have the sun in my lens) ….

    Great colors and delightful capture!

  • Thanks, Cee – you should have seen the way I had to capture this sight – by standing in the middle of a pedestrian crossing!!
