Maybe I should have titled this shot Can You Hear The Drums For Nando’s. Not only is the Portuguese fast-food chain famous for its hot peri-peri sauce, the company’s delivery trucks are easily identifiable by their bright, eye-catching paintwork.
In November last year, I was walking through Freshwater Place here in Melbourne when I saw this truck parked in a delivery zone. I couldn’t resist the urge to walk up to the front of the Isuzu and take this shot of the chrome manufacturer’s logo and the contrasting typography of the Nando’s slogan.
(Cultural note: While Nando’s chicken is well-known in the UK and here in Australia, it has not yet hit the shores of the United States. Be prepared. Be very prepared!)I do not crop or post-edit my work. Shot in November 2008, using a Pentax K100D. F 6.7, 1/500 sec, ISO 200, and focal length of 120 mm.
