Incense Makes Sense

This little shrine caught my eye on a crowded Singapore street in 2007. From memory, it was no more than about a foot tall.

I couldn’t help wondering how many people must have taken a few seconds out to offer a fervent prayer before continuing their daily tasks.

I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my work in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F5.6, 1/45 sec, ISO 800, focal length 125mm.

Thank you, Betty. The grey fascinated me too – it must have been an ash residue.

Incense may also stop you becoming incensed! A litle oasis of sanity in a busy city, and very well spotted, David.

Thanks, Bev – yes, it was a haven or an oasis. You’re absolutely right.
