    A bit of a change here with the B&W image David…But as always superbly shot.
    This image would be suited to Tone it Down group.

    Thanks John, getting a little tired of colour! ;) There’s a hint of blue used in the processing John and the group which you suggest say “No Colour” Don’t want to upset the apple cart! :))

    Oh fave fave fave!! This is a stunner David and although I think it would look gorgeous in colour, it does look awesome in black and white. Fabulous details everywhere. Me like :o)

  • David Lewins LRPS replied 21 days ago

    I’m not a huge fan of IR David but I’m a big fan of this image … but then it doesn’t look that IR to me anyway .. :)
    It is such a gentle, classic composition of pastoral calm that delights me to peruse…but then, that is classic David Lewins!! ... :
    )
    The mono treatment is just right, although I do sense a blush of blue – can blue blush? – in the sky. The hint of IR on the trees in the middleground says summer sunshine while the dry stone wall – with masterfully controlled tones I might add – wraps it up as a scene of peace and contentment.
    Thank you…

    Jeff! How do I follow this compliment/comment? Thank you ever so much for your generous observations. As I stated above, it was the challenge of processing which I enjoyed with this image. Your last words sum it up well as this was taken towards the end of a 9.5 mile hike and although tired I was certainly content whilst viewing this scene. Thank you once again for taking the time to view and comment. Best Regards…

    Thank you Shaun, I enjoyed the processing and found it a challenge…since doing it in mono I’ve started to like the colour version better! LOL
