Patience, predicting where a storm is coming from and a lot of luck counts for a lot here. It was also very dangerous because I had two strikes of similar magnitude above me. A lttle scary but very exciting.
I mounted the camera on a tripod from within my car. I would not recommend being outside during a storm.
