Sydney New Years Eve 2009 The best fireworks display in the world it only took $ 5 Million dollars worth of fireworks to do it using almost twice as much as fireworks as last year.

More than five tonnes of fireworks explode over Sydney Harbour,The Midnight Creation Storm lasted 12 minutes, culminating in a display dubbed the Bridge Effect, which will use both decks of the bridge.

For the ninth year in a row, the display has been masterminded by Fortunato Foti.
