Have to agree they are characters David, I live a Newport Beach , and the birds work the apartments. If a bigger bird annoys one before you know it they call their mates and belt up the bigger birds. They are very sociable and will bring their babies to your balcony each spring/summer

Yes there a lot of fun to have around

They have these in a Birds wildlife park in Cornwall, and you can buy nectar and feed them. The birds go mad and land all over you to get some. Noisey and great fun.

I have photos from when we went to Currumbin when I was just a toddler. One landed on my sister’s head, but I didn’t want them near me lol. They are such beautiful birds and I love this image.
On a side note.. is there a tutorial somewhere on doing selective colouring like this?
