Europe Down Under by David Fraser
Clear

A tongue-in-cheek payback for all the times we in the southern hemisphere have been “down under”.

The original map was created from shredded and mached recycled paper. The paper ‘mush’ was formed into a relief map of the world, dried and then painted. Photographs from different perspectives were taken and a selected image was geometrically manipulated into it’s current form.

The map is designed to give the illusion of the land masses floating on wild ocean currents.

Illustrator, musician and artist who loves his family to bits, probably sums me up.
