Abstract macro photography of an impermanent design created with oil, water and dye. Olympus E-3, Sigma 105mm macro, 1/200 @ f/5.6, ISO 100

My focus as a photographer and digital artist ranges from traditional photography to PhotoArt compilation and the less explored world of abstract design created with natural elements such as smoke, oil and water.

A peaceful dove .. fabulously designed .. well done Richard

  • Yes, it does resemble a dove Mona, thanks for pointing that out. I first saw it as a seal swimming with a whale, but I like the dove interpretation.

It is a dance that is running like a petal…tied to the body of the flower. That sense of being “rooted” gives a quiet and restful mood to this wonderful macro. Love your “experiments”

  • Thank you Rosa. You have described the motion of this piece so well, dancing and at the same time rooted.

I see petals (no surprise there) of a fantasy flower graced with a few raindrops – love the colors!

  • A lovely interpretation Celeste. Thank you :-)

Beautiful Richard – I love your colour palette here!

  • Thanks Pauline: Rad and blue swim well together – they mix to create some wonderful tones :-)
