My focus as a photographer and digital artist ranges from traditional photography to PhotoArt compilation and the less explored world of abstract design created with natural elements such as smoke, oil and water.
Why do I feel sad about that? lol
Well, loosing his head should probably be the least of his worries at this point Thanks for the great comment Kathilee :-)

Mil gracias Liliana. Si me gusta el drama que crean estos pobres cerillos :-)
really amazing work Richard, you have used simplicity to tell a tale as old as a soul… so many human stories infact.. wow! FAV
Yes; I think it’s the simplicity, or the drama exhibited by such simple characters, that keeps me drawn to this series. I like them all, but I think this one is my favorite so far. Thank you so much for looking and commenting Lina. I always appreciate your thoughts on my artwork.
excellent series Richard ~ love this one ~ !!! xx
Thank you very much Linda :-)
Thank you very much :-)
gorgeous photography. there is a tragic quality to this. and ending? a death? the natural, quick blaze of energy and then it’s over.
Yes, I had no intention of tragedy but the destiny of a match is a fiery one, unless of course they happen to escape and take their own path – then life is simply a matter of avoiding scratchy surfaces :-)Thank you so much for your thoughtful comments John.
