Ink spread design for the RB ink-spread/ink-drop mini challenge
I created this design with several coffee filters and vegetable dye. The landscape was made with two torn filters soaked in green water and a whole, round coffee filter placed on top that had been soaked in blue water. The sun-burst is an ink spread created with a drop of yellow and and a drop of red dye.
The photograph was taken from below a glass table with the coffee filters placed on the top surface of the glass and the camera pointed up from below.
I think what was missing from this experiment was a white background. I couldn’t find anything suitable for this, but I’ll keep looking. Part of the problem is that the white background would have to be set just above the coffee filters after the ink is dropped – one of those situations where I need another set of hands :-)
