Here’s a hi-tech bird’s nest I found on a balcony in Hermosillo, Son. Mexico. The builder had the foresight to install some telephone wiring in case her little ones want high speed internet access.
Olympus E-3, Zuiko 35 mm f/3.5 macro; f/7.1, 1/20 sec, ISO 100.

bird, close up, eggs, mourning dove, nest, telephone wire, nature
My focus as a photographer and digital artist ranges from traditional photography to PhotoArt compilation and the less explored world of abstract design created with natural elements such as smoke, oil and water.

Beautiful shot!!! Aren’t birds creative in building their nests??
They are at that. This part of Mexico is mostly desert, so they have to be creative at finding building supplies. I’ve seen a lot of bird holes in some of the big cactus around here, so I’m hoping to catch a good photo of a prickly nest soon :)

Thanks Mona: I’m intrigued to find out what sort of computer equipment they install in the nest :D

Wonderful find
I hope the birds weren’t scared away by you shooting here
I love the shot though
The birds were away when I took the photo, setting up the contract for internet service perhaps? Thanks for the nice comments :)

excellent Richard ~ nature makes use of all materials of its own ~ and even ones we produce ~ and bringing it back to an elemental level of its making :) the cycle keeps coming around again doesn’t it? ;)
fabulous sight and capture ~ I had a red squirrel in my back yard trying to steal a towel left on a tree swing and drag it for half an hour to get it up a tree for his use – nest perhaps? couldn’t get it off the ground but a thrill to see him try! xxx
Wow; seeing the squirrel trying to take your towel up the tree must have been quite a scene! I remember having a lot of fun watching the squirrels in GA. I’m in Sonora now, so I get to watch lizards and iguanas. They’re interesting but not much fun to watch … they’re just there :)

LOL…good eye Richard. Maybe the family has it’s own Twitter account??? That’s actually quite interesting that the birds found these items, let alone deciding to use them to build the nest with. Even nature recycles it appears! Cheers, S.
WoW!! amazing capture sweetheART ;} happy hippy hugglez
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments :)

This is funny, Richard! Great find and capture! I hope you left your business card with a link to your Redbubble site. Who knows what those birds will be up to in the future?
Thank you Eivor for the great comment :)

It is amazing what the birds find to build their nests. I love Elvor’s comment……Very nice shot!!!
Wow Richard…. at first glance I thought it was mine!! I had the same thing on my balcony when a pigeon made a nest on one of my flower boxes, high tech plastics included!!! Must be an international thing. :))
Yes, it must be those carrier pigeon genes coming through the generations, Only now they’ve gone hi-tech. I have a feeling pigeons have more brains than we give them credit for. Thank you so much for dropping by and commenting Montserrat :-)
