2 inces of life on the side of a tree.

Lichens, mosses and fungi intrigue me with their variety of texture and color. I was especially attracted to the puckering tips on the Martian lettuce there on the right half of the scene. (It’s not really called martian lettuce, but I think it’s a great name for this species).

I’m not familiar with the names of these life forms, so if anyone out there can ID them, please let me know.
