When I started participating in RedBubble, one of the benchmarks I set for myself was to attain 2000 views of my work. I assumed it would take a few months or so, but it acutally happened in a matter of weeks.

First, thanks to everybody who viewed my work. Thanks double, triple etc. to those who left comments and added my work to their favorites and added me to their watchlists. This is certainly the widest audience my work has received and I’m proud that my photographs have provided enjoyment and hopefully inspiration to so many people. I’m especially grateful to those who frequently comment on my work.

For myself the benefits have been abundant. It’s validating and reinforcing of my work when people appreciate a photograph in the way I intended: to notice the light or the energy or any of the aspects of the craft and art of photography. Second, I’m constantly inspired (and compelled) by the beautiful work and passion for photography of so many fine people. The humanity and love of life pours out of every single frame, and the level of craftmanship is unsurpassed anywhere.

Finally, it’s a privelege to participate in a global community of artists. I believe that the sharing of art and love and life do ultimately impact the quality of life on the planet.
