Another Set of Lubitel 166B Photographs
Last week I finished off a roll of Fuji Provia 100F in my Lomo Lubitel 166B. This week I’ve been uploading the results to my website.
See here for more information and links to the results.

Ahhhh lovely! I have the same camera that I bought a wee while ago. I haven’t had much time to experiment with it yet though… Your shots look sensational.

Thanks. I’m liking your Holga shots. I really must treat myself to a Holga some time soon.

Well, I’ve done it. I’ve ordered a 120N. :-)

The last time I saw a Lubitel, it was in a ring with 5 cousins, as an all-sky (or thereabouts) meteor rig. How do you like the image quality? Looks like some fall-off in focus toward the edges.
That’s a very sexy tripod head, by the way – what is it?

I love the image quality, mostly because it lacks a little bit of quality. Sure, there is some fall-off in focus towards the edges but that’s what I like about it.
Love the sound of using a bunch of them as an all-sky camera. That’s a very nice idea.
The tripod is one of the cheaper Manfrottos.

In fact, now I come to think of it, I’d borrowed that rig from a friend, to record the Geminids. It was a cold, dewy night, but I’d borrowed a ski suit and had a sleeping bag; ended up so cosy I fell asleep with very little in the way of photography done!
My first serious camera was a Yashicamat, which I liked a lot, except that it had a slight tilt in the front which affected infinity focus. It was a nice camera though.
