Hack: RedBubble Art Manager for Windows Source Released
I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now and, today, I finally got around to it.
Having created a github account today one of the first things I did was create a project for RBArtMan. The code is released under the terms of the GNU GPL.
This way, if anyone fancies spinning off their own version, or picking it up and carrying on should I fall under a bus, the source is now available.

Please avoid buses Dave …...... :)

hey hey, welcome to the party
I dig github so much

Thanks. So far I’m impressed. It’s like SourceForge without all the added crap. Which is nice.

After checking with Dave that I could post a link to my website on his journal. This is to demonstrate how RBArtManager created by Dave can be used:

yeah, the barrier to entry for contributing to other projects is so much lower than source forge. No screwing around with patches, finding mailing lists, etc. just hit ‘fork’, people can comment directly on your commits.
And you know, you get to use git :D
I’m well on my way to contributing something everyday I have internet access in October

Yeah, I’m kind of liking git so far too. First time I’ve looked at that as well.
Like the calendar. The pressure’s on! ;)

Huh? omg i’m web illiterate aren’t I?

I wouldn’t worry too much if this journal doesn’t make much sense, it’s mostly geek-speak.
Simply put: I’ve made the source for RBArtMan available for download so that people can contribute, hack on it on their own or, should I be kidnapped by aliens some time today, someone else can pick the project up and look after it.
