    very pretty, the blue and gold would have caught my eye also, I think weather vanes are often a overlooked detail.

    Yeah, you’re right abut wind vanes, some of them can be quite elaborate. I’ve photographed a couple in the last year, here and here for example, and even made the latter into a t-shirt.
