When I see images like this, I think of H G Wells’s War of the Worlds. As is the red is glow of fire on Horsel Common. I love it.

Oh, nice catch Lloyd! I don’t know why but it hadn’t brought up tWotW for me, which is odd because it was (and still is for that matter) one of my favourite science fiction books (I read it more times than I can remember when I was a kid).

    Perfect.

I may steal this image one day and super impose a tripod into it. Then you’ll see what I see ;) Nah! I’d never steal…

  • Dave Pearsonbeta tester replied

I’m open to the idea of such an image being a “collaboration” (assuming you’d be using a Martian tripod you created yourself).

Yeah, I have done an image like this before and have designed my own renditions of the Tripod.

The Martians Advance is what I done last year. Each machine took 7 hours to draw and paint. Also The Martian Civil War took two weeks to do. Let me know your thoughts.

  • Dave Pearsonbeta tester replied

I like the design of the Martians.

If you really do fancy using the above image to create a SciFi scene I think I’m all for it. Let’s work out the details via BM.
