David, I had my macro lens MONTHS before I started to really use it. Now it’s never off the camera. Fortunately, I can use hubby’s… It’s a learning curve but well worth it. AND, you don’t scare the insects as much so they cooperate more. Flies are brilliant subjects. This one is nice. Good luck (it’s addictive!) j
