Galatea Fine Arts in the trendy contemporary art district of Boston’s Harrison Avenue has offered to represent Dave Martsolf through 2013, and with a kick-off solo show in January 2012. Galatea Fine Arts
I will post updated news of the event as the time draws near. For now Martsolf will include three recent watercolors in the gallery’s December Group Show.

Conflict of Interest
patience exceeding the lost madness,
fighting the reign – angry insanity.
vying for control, a dichotomy.
losing to the end – ancient battles,
evolutionary inevitability,
the loss of knowledge,
the death of understanding is at hand.
we are glad to see it go,
waving goodbye with red-clotted sticks
and true love.
Open Secrets

High lights and gleaming cords,
roads and paths;
don’t lead them anywhere.
But you will someday take them all -
take them all at once –
someday;
but not today.
Row and glide,
but do not hide;
for millions lie hidden,
in cold pockets,
who will warm by reflection
of we who see;

of the present.

Climbing Mt. Oberlin, Glacier National Park, Montana, USA
Call it artistic inspiration. Mt. Oberlin is one of the easiest peaks to climb in this national park, but it fulfilled a long-time dream for me, and gave my daughter a chance to go where hardly any 9-year old girl has gone before.

16 Features in 9 Days and the Next Two Weeks
It has been an amazing nine days since I last wrote. I finally managed to work thorough all 31 pages of RB groups to seek out all that came close to fitting my work.
