I found this bird sitting perfectly in place on the ground a couple of weeks ago. I not sure if some other photographer had placed him in this position but it really couldn’t have been any better. Printed on high contrast paper to try and add some more drama to the scene. I did call the park wardens after capturing the shot to let them know about him, I didn’t want some kid coming along and getting all covered in diseases from it.
I also run a blog all about the Phoenix Park here in Dublin featuring various ramblings on my love of photography called Visions Of The Phoenix Park
Taken on a Zenza Bronica SQ-A 120mm film camera filled with Kodak Tri-X 400 film.
The print was made by my very own hands in a traditional old style wet darkroom and then scanned into a computer device.
