The Pinnacles desert is very much a photographers dream. At dawn and dusk the thousands of rock formations create the bread and butter of a great image shadow and light. I used a circular polariser while I was shooting there to create a bluer and darker sky which puts the emphasis more on the subject, which in this case was the rock formations and detail of the ground. I took a few shots with the polariser affecting the sky and they really looked bland (can you tell I love vibrant colour). The key thing I think is simply being there at the right time:)
If you ever are going to Perth, the 3 hour drive is worth the time if you are patient. But look out for Kangaroos on the way home if you are coming back from a sunset outing, they can really total a car.

An unusual angle and a low viewpoint combine to create a wonderful vista from this amazing national park. I love the long shadows and that sky! Whenever we have been there’s never been a cloud in sight. Great work and many thanks for posting it into the Western Australia group.
    Best wishes
