New experiences in the top end:
Have just returned from a week in Darwin and Kakadu National Park (Northern Territory – top end of Australia).

Canon 50D

After much deliberation which rapidly deteriorated into a state of panic as the Australian Dollar recently nosedived, I purchased a Canon 50D. Although it has been a great little machine, the files from my 350D were just not big enough to allow me any flexibility with cropping etc and besides I felt the need for a new toy.

I’ve done it again haven’t I?
Finally caught up on the sleep I’ve missed out on during the week; dragged myself out of bed at about 10 AM and was stupid enough to turn the computer on before I had breakfast. It’s now 3.30 PM and I’ve been surfing on Redbubble and flickr ever since. Damn I’m getting hungry….

Dejected.

In a fit of excitement I dragged myself out of a warm bed before the sun and ventured towards the lake to try out my new canon 100 – 400 zoom. It was about zero so it was no mean feat (for me at least). The mist I had anticipated was not there, there were no clouds to ‘make’ the sunrise and a brisk wind put paid to any reflections.
