Great work

I like the way you have worked on this. Very well done. I still remember the day some 47 years ago when we tried to get our youngest son to come in to that lighthouse with us. No way – he yelled the place down. I think I’ll send him this shot as a reminder!! Best wishes, Peter (an expatriate Devonian)

G’day Dave,
Very nicely done that man!
A most interesting subject which, with the inclusion of a human element makes it a more personal image and not just a record of a place.
You have composed this very well and after your good processing with its lovely sepia tones and contrast, it presents nicely.
The depth of field is very good as is your focus. Certainly a good storyteller that allows the viewer full use of their imagination.
Nice work!

Thanks for the comment, I remember my first time up there, the old railing around the top adding to the fear factor!

Your composition is out of this world here!
The 2 main curves and the curves hugging the steps…this
is so classy…

That’s a fantastic photo. I love the tones that you have used, it is a timeless place and your photo definitely shows that.

Just thought I’d add this link, so that you can see the history of the place. http://www.plymouthdata.info/Belvedere.htm

Thank you for your comment and the link, very interesting history, I’ve been up there loads as a kid and never realised what it was originally built for!
