Thank you Aleksandra! I’m really happy that you enjoy them! Its great to go through and group the art, and I’ve been busy going through some old work and uploading that also. My slow network connection is a real hassle though… still lots to do! Thanks again!
Love the pattern here. I am wondering what you did to get them. Lights I am assuming but where were they? Anyway…A great abstract creation. Have you thought about printing it out? Or using it in some way with Photoshop? A background for the right image? I coiuld go on…. Liz
Thank you noffi! This was taken from the backseat of a cousin’s car during a night drive in Somerset, Kentucky. When I was small, there were no lights here there and everywhere, and places closed for the night (and on Sundays!) in this area. Visiting family for the first time in a long time, I was surprised at all of the lights everywhere! As I typically do at night, I had my compact camera zoomed in, maybe 5x?, and was shooting at the distant traffic and car lights as I shot in burst mode, moving the camera in motions as I would go.
I’ve not printed this out yet but I might. I am useless with GIMP, and so I doubt I’ll go near Photoshop. It would be neat if someone else could do something with this though! I just enjoy experimenting to see what I can create within the camera itself. Thank you for your wonderful comment Liz!

Oh, and I’ve found in other experiments that lights at airports are great to try this technique with, as there are typically lots of stationary lights visible on the ground. I’ve yet to be stationary myself while shooting that type though… but from the preliminaries, I would say it’d be well worth the effort of stopping and trying it.

Cool – this is almost 3D! I can feel myself being pulled in amongst all the fibres…very cool work :)
Thank you Helen! So happy to hear it gives that effect! I saw this as densely woven light.

Like woven light trails! :-))
Yeah! ’Twas fun working to get this shot! Thanks Aaron!
