Ayers Rock (Uluru), the classic viewby DashTravels
Ayers Rock and Central Australia is an absolute must see. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to go and in 2010 I made the trip. It is very accessible with an airport nearby and sealed roads. There is also the option to drive out from Alice Springs (approx five hours driving) with a few sights along the way such as roadhouses and Mount Conner.
This view is from the sunset viewing area.

superb shot , just the best place I reckon to visit ,I had not much of a camera [only a pathetic film one which didn’t wind the film] when there. 2002,So had to paint it as fast as I could ….leaning on the bonnet of our car …not easily vying with cameras and tripods getting in the way.[after I had my space picked out too!] ..talk about crowded!
It truly is beautiful country. I intend to go back again once I notch up some more must see places like Kakadu & Broome.

Great shot, I have one almost identical and taken from the same spot on here!!
Thanks. It’s the classic shot that you just have to take. I think most people would have one very similar.
