Castlereagh is located near Penrith in Sydney’s west. It is one of the most historic sites in Australia’s history, being one of Governor Lachlan Macquarie’s five towns founded in 1810. The other four are: Windsor, Richmond, Wilberforce and Pitt Town. It is also the site of historic Castlereagh Cemetery which has several well preserved graves.
