Artist's Description

This shot is from August 2006 on very windy day at Cape Leeuwin near Augusta, Western Australia. This is Australia’s most south-western point and is where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet. The lighthouse was open for inspection daily (probably still is). Nearby is an old waterwheel dating back to 1895 and as you approach the lighthouse there are some good opportunities for photographing the lighthouse and the cape. There is also a signpost marking the joining of the two oceans.
