This shot is quite apt. It’s not the Newcastle stopover that the crew of the Pasha Bulker had in mind when they ran aground on Nobbys Beach at Newcastle, NSW (Australia). The Pasha Bulker was one of three ships forced to use full power to avoid being washed ashore when caught by storms in June 2007. The other two got away. The Pasha Bulker got away a few weeks later unlike the Sygna which approximately 30 years earlier broke in half on a neighbouring beach. Half remains today. The Pasha Bulker boosted local tourism for short while and remained a talking point for much longer.

I enjoy travelling, sightseeing and iconic Australian landscapes, locations and artefacts. My images reflect things that I see which I want to remember and share with others. People enjoy my images so I decided to share them with a wider audience and see where things lead. If you would like to use my artwork for a worthy cause then drop me a line ( I have a vast collection of Australian travel images and can compile calendars to suit your theme/purpose.
