Since completing a Bachelor of Photography at RMIT University, I have practiced in a variety of photography fields including the areas documentary, fashion, fine art, annual reports, performing arts, and teaching photography. Since 2003 I has been involved with many projects that utilize photography as a tool for community and cultural development. Through photography, I seek to offer an alternative to traditional styles of photography by allowing members of the community to experience individual and collective empowerment by engaging in participatory photography-based projects. I am in effect a “community development photographer”.
