A very tiny Hummingbird sipping on an Agapantha flower. If you know how big the flowers are on an Agapantha, you know this is a little baby Hummer! This was shot with a 105mm macro at 2 feet away! Orange CA, USA
Great Macro work, such a nice glimpse of a baby hummer. The little jewl looks orange, is it one of those rare ones? Forgot the name. Wish I had some better close shots of things, or better lense. I fed them for years and still feed them occassionally, but have plants, bushes and trees that feed them too.
