I just wanted to thank all the artists who have been so kind to comment on my photos. You have all “played nice” and gave me great feedback. I’ve enjoyed seeing what other artists like and have been suprised that some pics were not more successful. I am judging this by the lack of views and comments. This is great to know so that I have an idea of what more people like.

Darrin, dont be too surprised – feedback quantity depends often on how many pics, and at what time you upload. I have learned that quality seems to have little to do with it. So many piccies appear each day, that many of the exceptionally good often get lost. I have had wonderful comments on some damned awful pics (possibly by folk looking for reciprocal back slapping – something I dont do unless I find something worthy of praise)- Just because no-one has commented, is possibly because few have viewed or looked through the full portfolio, or just picked a favourite.
Some of my best pics (IMHO) were of flies – full detail of the horrible verminous things – but most folk hate flies! Depends whether you want to appeal to an audience, or remain true to what you enjoy doing – if both match, then you’ve cracked it I think – but thats not me! All the best. G

Darrin, I really enjoyed looking through your portfolio. You have a wonderful eye and your photos are appealing.
