We've Made The News!
Well ladies and gentlemen and people of indeterminate identity, I have just been informed that we have made the news
I personally think that if they were looking for something controversial, they clearly weren’t digging hard enough, but who has time these days? When I look at it in the Newspaper, I still think it’s very funny, and the comments that go with it are an absolute scream. Talk a…
The Unfunny-side of the Funny-side or Vice Versa???
On the 24th February, 2009, I listed one of my first T-shirts on Red Bubble featuring a modified photograph of mass murderer, Ivan Milat, with the ironic statement, Australians Just Love Backpackers
The item has currently had 459 views over one-and-a-half-years, and maybe one or two sales. It’s not my best work, and certainly not by my own estimation, my funniest, but there is a certain u…
22nd May 2011 and still here!
22nd May 2011 and still here. Maybe I slept through it? … Nope, I still have to pay back my credit card. Oh, well.

If any of you are expecting to dissapear off to heaven in the coming rapture or Judgement Day, let me know. I will be more than happy to look after your cat.

So this idealistic and naive, young man went and found a group of other idealistic and naive, young men in the hope that they might end the mistreatment of pigmently-enhanced, human beings, and m…
First Review
The first official review of my latest book, “Storage Space”, has been written by John Lehman at Book Review.com. I think it is balanced and am happy with the overall critique (http://www.bookreview.com/$spindb.query.listrev...).
Here it is:
It’s unusual for the first poem in a collection to be the title of the book. Usually the poet saves that for three-quarters of the…
If art truly imitates life?
What we need in movies is more toilet scenes to help put things into perspective.
Hollywood claims its gratuitous use of sex scenes represents a normal element of human relationships – a case of art imitates life – not meaningless titillation. And so, if the average human being goes to the loo at least four to eight times a day, perhaps a hundred times more than even the most athletic of us will …
The substitute sports teacher
‘Here,’ he said, handing me the balls. ‘You can take the Year Sixes for volleyball. Just break them into four teams of five and let them play for forty-five minutes.’
‘Right,’ I grinned, ‘sounds simple enough,’ and it was in theory, although no one had explained that to the Year Sixes. For the boys the ball became a soccer, rugby and every other type of ball except a volleyball. For the girls, …
